Neurodiversity Training for ADIs

What is Neurodiversity and why is it important?

Neurodiversity means everyone. All of us. How we think and how we then act on those thoughts.

It is estimated that 1 in 7 people, more than 15% of the UK population, is neurodiverse.

These people have a brain that can work differently from a neurotypical brain.

Those who are neurodivergent may be autistic, dyslexic, dyspraxic or have ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) amongst other diagnosis.

Wouldn’t it be a great world, if everybody was inclusive? How would you feel, knowing that you were able to effectively support Neurodiverse individuals in all situations?

How empowered would you be, to have the knowledge and confidence to not only support, but also enable Neurodiverse individuals to thrive using strategies that have been proven to work, person centric and respectful, not just using old data extracted from text books.

  • Empowerment
  • Knowledge
  • Confidence

This is the reason that Tracey has undertaken additional training to become a Training partner for Thrive, a leading training provider of Neurodiversity awareness training.

All Thrive: Neurodiversity in the Workplace training programmes have independent CPD accreditation

This means they’re professionally designed to achieve the right learning outcomes and means you're receiving accredited training and learning to boost your professional experience.

In December 2023 Confident Drivers was incredibly proud to become the first UK driving related company to achieve Tourette's Friendly status alongside several ADIs who we knew were supporting neurodiverse individuals.  Check our Find an Instructor Map to find them.
